After years of back-country adventures with my partner, we decided to embark on a new kind of adventure: parenting. Since spending time in the wild is so important to the two of us, we have made it a priority to share our love of nature with our little one. Our outdoor adventures look a bit different now than they did a few years ago, and we’ve faced new challenges (both real and imagined) along the way, but the rewards have been immensely gratifying.
While we were expecting, I spent a lot of time worrying about how to navigate the transition from outdoor enthusiast to outdoor-enthusiast-with-kids. I certainly don’t pretend to have all the answers, and am constantly learning as I go, but I hope that some of the information on this page will be helpful for other parents or soon-to-be-parents!
